Học từ vựng : GETTING ANGRY


Vocabulary :

- angry : in a rage (nổi xung) , livid (giận tím gan) , furious (điên tiết)
less angry :annoyed (phiền, bực) , cross (cáu, gắt) , irritated (tức tối)

cross = annoyed
annoying = irritating
furious = livid
OK = calm

Angry idioms
driving SO crazy : làm cho bực
ex : Will you please stop interrupting ? You're driving me crazy.
getting on one's nerves : chọc tức ai
ex : Will you shut up ? You're really getting on my nerves.
have just about enough : quá đủ
ex : I've had just about enough of this. My train has been late every day this week.
that's the last straw : giọt nước tràn ly
ex : Right, that's the last straw. The food was cold, the wine was warm and now they're got the bill wrong. I'm going to call the manager and complain.
sick to death of : chán ngấy
ex : I'm sick to death of this. If they ask me to work on Saturday morning again, I'm quitting the job.

Getting angry
1. It doesn't take much to make him angry. He's always losing his temper.
2. When Sarah finds out I've broken her camera, she's going to go mad.
3. He's very bad-tempered. He's always shouting and swearing.
4. I know you're angry but that's no reason to raise your voice.
5. I've never seen him so angry. He was shaking with rage.
6. When my dad found out I'd crashed the car, he hit the roof.

Excuses and apologies
1. What more can I say/ do ?  Tôi có thể nói/ làm gì nữa đây ?
2. I didn't mean to do it. Tôi không cố ý.
3. I couldn't help it. Tôi không chịu được.
4. It wasn't my fault. Đó không phải lỗi của tôi.
5. Don't blame me. Đừng có đổ cho tôi.
6. I didn't realise. Tôi không nhận ra.
